In investment activity of municipalities there are serious changes connected with formation of essentially new, based on strategic planning model of social and economic development of the territory. However practical realization by local authorities of actions for formation of strategy of investment development is accompanied by the whole complex of the organizational and methodical problems requiring the immediate solution. In this regard the main stages of process of development and realization of strategy of investment development of municipality are presented in article.
