Authors note key features of a project financing and consider its major differences from traditional investment crediting; discuss questions of an assessment and selection of investments from positions of different participants of the project and scheme of finan-cing of projects. A main goal of this article – the analysis of essence and types of a project financing, detection of its advantages and disadvantages. The main schemes of structuring investment pro-jects on the principles of a project financing are opened, problems which banks when financing investment projects face are shown. The conclusion is drawn on high dependence of structure of the transaction on a project financing on its scheme and sources of financing. Need of improvement of schemes of a project financing for maintenance and increase of competitiveness of future project, ensuring financial stability of the design company and stability of commercial bank is proved
