The problem of doing business in the context of the corona virus pandemic in the Russian Federation is more urgent than ever. The authors address a number of issues, in particular, that small business suffers greatly from the imposed restrictions and the current situation, and private offers of services on popular Internet platforms are increasing.

The purpose of this work was to prove the impact of the pandemic on small businesses, as well as to identify parameters of the non-systemic crisis and justify Russia’s ability to overcome the current situation. To prove the issues raised, a statistical analysis was conducted of the growth of service offerings on Internet platforms, which led to a number of conclusions about the strong impact of the pandemic on small businesses and the negligible impact on individuals offering their services. The scientific novelty of this work is to prove the need to concentrate the state’s efforts on supporting small business, and tight control of Internet platforms on which various services are offered.
