Questions of influence of the informal economy on global and national economy draw the increasing attention of researchers around the world. And it is quite explainable as the crisis phenomena in economies of the majority of the countries force to minimize economic entities the expenses including not in absolutely legitimate ways, taking away a part of business or even all business to the sector of the informal economy (especially as now for this purpose there are much more opportunities, than earlier, – Internet technologies, cryptocur-rencies, etc.).Informal economy «does not get» to GDP initially, but, certainly, has to be considered as according to the statistical CHC-1993 and CHC-2008 standards it is necessary to carry all types of informal economic activity to economic production. In article changes of theoretical ideas of the informal economy and practice of its estimation by means of application of financial (monetary) and other approaches, including on the basis of statistical methods are investigated and also the reasons of increase in scales of not observed sector of national economy are analyzed and possibilities of statistical account and the analysis are discussed.
